Osho is the first Indian Mystic to combine Eastern spiritual practice with Western forms of Psychotherapy. Under his direction, new dimensions of communication between therapist and client opened. Meditation, the center of what has developed into Spiritual Therapy, is also called the “Psychology of the Buddhas.” Solving problems and treatment of “cases” is no longer the focus; therapist and client understand that they are part of a larger happening. Love, acceptance and meditative presence, not directed toward any goal, can effect more growth and change than can any correctly conducted therapeutic intervention alone.
Man is viewed as a being with everything needed to be happy. Through conditioning and misunderstanding man is separated from essence. Spiritual Therapy means finding the way back to essence. The word “Sammasati” means “Right Remembrance” and is an invitation to remember essence, our Buddha Nature. The intent of this training is to deliver to participants the therapeutic tools and inner attitude needed for this therapeutic realization. A readiness to support the process of letting go of one’s own limitations and frozen structures is required.
The first year of this training is delivered in seven segments, each segment consisting of four group days and four individual sessions with a mentor from the Training Team. Participants are introduced to various aspects of Spiritual Therapy. Through a maturation process they become aware of their conditioning in various dimensions of life. Awareness of self-limitations and old patterns invites the participant to venture off on new paths and to observe how self-perception and behaviors change. This experience of self introduces methods, the application of which is learned in the second part of the Training.
The first year can also be booked as a training in itself.
During the second year of the Training participants are introduced to the practice of therapeutic work. This part of the training consists of eleven Training segments and two supervised weekends. Development of a therapeutic attitude through love, acceptance, openness and awareness is key. Knowledge is conveyed; participants learn to design single sessions and to use various therapeutic tools. Each participant conducts six individual sessions accompanied by a mentor from the Therapist team. Participants shown to possess requisite knowledge can take the second part of the training without taking the first.
A year of supervised practice comprises the third part of the Training. Under the supervision of the Training staff: participants independently undertake therapeutic tasks to assist the Training and offer sessions to their private clients on scheduled days.
